Is this music course suitable for beginners?
The course assumes that students already have some basic knowledge of making music with Logic. You will learn how to create various remixes using the instruments and effects that are included with Logic Pro. No additional music software or plug-ins are required. If you are new to Logic then we strongly recommend taking the Beginners Logic Course first.
What hardware do I need to take the Remix course?
You will need an Apple Mac computer with the following specifications:
- Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later
- Power Mac G4 1.25 GHz Minimum - (Intel, G5 or above recommended)
- 1 GB RAM (2GB recommended)
- Core Audio compatible soundcard
- A MIDI Controller keyboard
What software do I need to take the Remix course?
- Macintosh web browser - Safari or Firefox
- Macromedia Flash Player - http://www.adobe.com/downloads/
- Apple QuickTime 7.2 or later - For Mac
- Uncompressing software for zip compressed files. eg. StuffIt expander for Mac
- Logic Studio 9 (recommended). The course is also compatibe with earlier versions of Logic including Logic 8, Logic Express 8 and Logic 7.
Is the music school approved / accredited?
Point Blank is an Apple Approved Training Centre for Education (AATCE). We have been teaching music courses on Logic for over a decade.
What support do I get on the Remix course?
Throughout your course you will be supported in your learning by a professional music producer. You will be able to contact him 24/7 via the student forum and raise any issues that you may encounter on your Logic course. All of the tutors are highly experienced in making music with Logic and will be able to offer valuable advice and guidance.
