One half of legendary dance duo Basement Jaxx, Felix Buxton had a wealth of information to share with students when he visited Point Blank. This included how they got signed, how they work in the studio and what it's like to play the main stage at Glastonbury Festival! Watch some clips from his visit below:

It was a real honour to welcome this legendary producer and DJ to Point Blank, where he hosted a music industry masterclass. Known to many as the Godfather of House, he’s been hugely influential in the birth of the deep and soulful house music sound and the success of artists including Ten City, Kim Mazelle and Ce Ce Rogers. We're big fans of the Chems here at Point Blank so you can imagine how thrilled we were when they approached us to build an online music mixer featuring loops and samples from their back catalogue. The mixer is proving to be hugely popular with thousands of tracks being created from all over the world every month.

New York based DJ / Producer Quentin has released tracks for labels including Defected and Strictly Rhythm and acclaimed remixes for major artists including Mariah Carey. During his recent visit we were excited to have him meet our production students and check out the Point Blank studios.

Carl Cox is one of the most successful DJ's in the world and has been at the top of his game for years, so it was a real pleasure to welcome him to Point Blank. He met staff and students on his visit and had plenty of encouragement for the DJ class!

"If you're serious about your music then Point Blank is where you want to be" says DJ and dance music legend Pete Tong. And he should know. With a career spanning over 25 years, Pete is recognised worldwide as one of the most influential DJ's in dance music. Thanks for your support Pete! 

Paul Epworth is one of the most in-demand producers in the world right now, having produced Florence & The Machine’s debut album 'Lungs' and received an award for ‘Producer of the Year’. So we were delighted when Paul agreed to come and share some of his experience with students at Point Blank. He revealed some of his production secrets and shared tips on how to succeed as a record producer. Watch some highlights from the Q & A session by clicking the thumbnail below:

Keith Harris has managed Stevie Wonder since the late '70's and has spent over 30 years in the music industry at the highest levels. He headed up Motown's UK operation representing international artists such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, The Commodores, Rick James and The Supremes. He later formed his own management company and has been involved in the management of numerous artists since then.

Jony has written and produced for Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse and many others. So we were thrilled when he called in at Point Blank. "I've heard some wicked tunes coming from the students and I'm really impressed with what's going on at Point Blank". Watch a video of his visit here:

Despite a reputation as "the hardest working man in breaks" Krafty still found time to meet students at Point Blank and offer some trademark tips and tricks to students on the DJ course. Krafty plays shows all over the world from stadium gigs in Australia to festivals and regular slots at the best clubs.
