This is an intensive look at the contemporary approach to mixing and is perfect for those of you keen to get your music out on digital labels or even set something up yourselves. 

These days project budgets are modest and if you can mix your own tracks you'll be saving a packet with each release.  This course is designed week by week to introduce you to various aspects of mixing, working through a series focused examples each lesson.  The final week looks at putting everything together and runs through a couple of complete track mixdowns to put everything in context.  Our aim with this course is to offer a balanced, broad and experienced perspective to help you gain confidence in your mixing ability.

In this first week we'll be asking what exactly is the mix? We'll then get down to the nitty gritty of sound itself, helping your ears and brain talk to each other more efficiently and start you on the road to becoming a better mix engineer.  We'll be taking an interesting look at Phase and the stereo picture before moving onto a whole stack of work on EQ.
